I'm a Demon Deacon!!

It's been awhile since I last blogged, I have been busy with school and track practice. I was also preoccupied with the recruiting process. It was a long process but I have made my decision. There were a few schools I was looking at like UNC, NC State, Wake Forest, Tennessee and Virginia. These were all good schools, but I decided to go to Wake Forest University on a full athletic scholarship. It was the best choice for after I discussed everything with my family. I will be close to home and I will be receiving one of the best educations in the Nation. Wake Forest has a strong track program. Michael Bingham, 400 runner who competed in the 2009 World Championships, competed for Wake Forest. I wish he was still there next there when I arrive, he would've been a great training partner. I am just glad this recruiting process is over. It is a fun process but can be stressful at times. I know I made the right decision and I am looking to do big things in college.

Welcome to Wake! Great choice. My daughter went there. I'm sure Michael will be around in the off-season, when he's not racing in Europe. His family lives in Asheboro.

Thank you!! It feels like a load off my shoulders, but I know I have an important decision that will have a positive effect on the rest of my life, on and off the track.
