The Coaching Staff

Hurdles Coach: Steve McGill
This is not an Exaggeration but Steve McGill is truly one of the most underated hurdles coaches out there. He has coach some of the top high school hurdlers of all time such as Johnny Dutch, Wayne Davis, Keare Smith and myself, Booker Nunley. My first lessons with him were in the summer of 2006, after working with him for one week I dropped a whole second off my 110 time. Not only is he a good 110 hurdles coach but he is also a great 400 hurdles coach. McGill is a techinal genius and it has rubbed off on me. Besides being a great technical master of the hurdles he is also a great motivator and instills confidence and a love for the hurdles in all of his athletes. He has given me the confidence to believe that I am one of the best up and coming hurdlers in the world.

Sprints/Distance Coach: Booker Nunley III(dad)
In the summer of 2006, our dad was reintroduced to the world of track field as a coach; In highschool he ran the 800. His competitive spirit combined with our need for better coaching in the area of sprinting and endurance drove his desire to learn more about the sport. In the summer of 2006 our dad put on hold his own professional aspirations as a golfer to help out with our training in track. Over the last couple of years, our dad has become a quick study in the field of track. Being coached by our dad works better for us because he keys in on our individual needs and plans the workouts for our individual needs. We are very fortunate and blessed to have such a naturally athletic gifted dad who still knows what it is like to have a competive spirit.
